What is the average lifespan of a cable tie?

The lifespan of cable ties depends on how and where they are used, the type of environmental conditions they are exposed to and the material they are made from. Nylon cable ties typically last 1-2 years outdoors, and up to 10 years if specially reinforced for resistance to heat and UV.
